I've been putting the hours in at training
After nearly 3 weeks of solid training, I turned up at this morning's session at the Huntly Nordic Ski Club expecting to see one or two teammates for our usual Sunday session.
As it turned out, I was the only one who made it - so managed to get some one to one technical training from my coach Alex Standen on my Classic technique.
For those that don't know, Classic is the more traditional method of XC skiing and something I'm not that great on - I much prefer skate.
However, it was time well spent and thanks to Alex, we did some video work and he's pointed out a few areas that I can improve on.
I also reviewed my training over the past few weeks and as double British XC ski Olympian Andrew Musgarve is on the same Movescount training system as I am, I was able to compare. It would appear at present, I've done the same volume of training hours but I'm sure that wont last. I've also burned nearly 40,000 calories - that would explain the complaints from my parents that there is nothing to eat in the house.
